9. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011)

Katrina Kaif Movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was just a borderline hit but was something special for Katrina Kaif. She plays the role of a young free spirit who aspires to do great things in life but is forced to marry and settle down as soon as she gets in her 20s. The songs are excellent and their choreography is even better. The movie is about a guy who is out to find a bride for his elder brother but eventually falls for her as the wedding nears. The success of this movie was only because of the rocking and sizzling performance by Katrina Kaif. There is nothing much else in the movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan except her which was exactly the same which happened with Shahrukh Khan in Don 2.

8. Race (2008)

Katrina Kair movie Race

Katina Kapoor had not done such bold and sizzling scenes before Race and it came as quite a shock as well as an eye opener to her fans as well as to the rest of the world. She brilliantly showcased her wide range of acting skills and talents in the movie. Race shows the cunningness and shrewdness of two brothers who use their women to manipulate each other. Race was a roaring success and marked the comeback of Saif Ali Khan. Among the star cast were Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu as well as Akshay Khanna. The story is too complicated to summarize and you must this watch this great movie. Race even went on to win the best screen play award that year. 7. Malliswari (2004)

Katrina Kaif movie Malliswari

One of the lesser know Telugu movies of Katrina Kaif, Malliswari is about a girl who will soon inherit a huge sum of money as soon as she comes of age. The only problem is that her uncle would get the money in the event of her death. Hence start a chain of events only found in Tollywood movies in which the villain is trying to kill the girls and she accidently meets the hero (who does not know about her inheritance) and they fall in love. Malliswari is indeed a feel good movie and is available with English subtitles. The fight scenes can be funny at times but that is just a part of the package!

6. New York (2009)

Katrina Kaif movie New York

New York highlights the plights and woes of people from different ethnics which were the aftermath of the 9/11 incident. Three people who settled in the US after studying there are the main focus of the movie and how their lives were affected after the WTC event. Two of them are Muslims while the other one (Katrina Kaif) is a Christian. It shows how innocent people were labeled as dangerous and how it affected them mentally. The movie New York is a thriller and provokes a deep though on the grim subject. A short note at the end gives a brief yet irrefutable analysis of the situation and it’s after effects. New York is a real eye opener and will hopefully close in the gap between the people living in the US post 9/11.

5. Namaste London (2007)

Katrina Kaif Movie Namastay London

Another Rom-Com on the Top 10 Katrina Kaif movies list, Namaste London takes up the topic of people from India who have relocated to other countries and have forgotten their customs and traditions. Such is the case with Jazz (Katrina Kaif) who is forced to marry an Indian guy Arjun Singh(Akshay Kumar) who she feels is an embarrassment to her in every possible way and even her friends ridicule her about him. As it turns out, Jazz starts to realize that true happiness lies in following one’s own culture and values instead of imitating others’ traditions. 4. Raajneeti (2010)

Katrina Kaif movie Raajneeti

Although Raajneeti is based on a modernized version of a famous Indian folklore, the cast and crew have not stated so. Raajneeti is about a simple guy who gets dragged right into the middle of a raging political power struggle between parties as well as family members. With a dead father and an imprisoned brother, Samar Pratab (Ranbir Kapoor) stays in India instead of going back to study abroad in order to set things straight. He invariably falls in the controlling seat of his father’s party and has to face the music. Katrina Kaif is shown as a cold blooded politician who plans to go to new heights of power by marrying Samar. Though a bit over the top, the movie Raajneeti shows the true face of Indian Politics and how the politicians have a go at each other.

3. Sarkar (2005)

Katrina Kaif movie Sarkar

Sarkar basically means a ruler or a powerful lord and this is exactly what is shown in the movie. Katrina Kaif had a very brief role to play in the movie as the hero Shankar Nagre (Abhishek Bachan) has to give her up (his love) in order to continue his father’s legacy. The powerhouse of Bollywood cinema Amitabh Bachan plays the role of Sarkar; an overlord who unofficially rules Mumbai and dispenses justice in his own way. Morals and social values ranks really high on Sarkar’s list and he does not allow any immoral act in the city. A Don from another country shows up and tries to break the Sarkar’s dominance over Mumbai. The movie is very interesting and is a powerful entertainer and ranks 3rd in the Top 10 Katrina Kaif Movies list.

2. Agneepath (2012)

Katrina Kaif movie Agneepath

Agneepath 2012 is loosely based on the 1990 release of the same name and features mind blowing performances by Sanjay Dutt, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra. The movie depicts a story of a young boy who is forced to leave his village after his innocent father is killed Kancha Cheena. The boy later on becomes a dealer himself and grows as powerful as Kancha Cheena and a final showdown is sure to follow. Katrina Kaif appears in the item song Chickni Chemli and uplifts the mood for a short time with her rather difficult dance steps!
